My family is going on a group vacation this summer. We are pooling our resources to rent a nice property on the beach for a week. My wife and I are (unfortunately) taking the lead on planning and organization.

It will be me, my wife, my daughter, my brother, his wife, and their 3 kids, plus my parents. (Kids’ ages range from 3 to 9). In addition, my sister, and her girlfriend are invited.

We initially only invited my sister, but my sister insisted that her girlfriend (who I think she's been dating for 9 months or so) be included as well.

My sister is in a lesbian relationship and, although my family and I don’t get all of the nuances, we have tried to be understanding. So as a compromise we said that her girlfriend could come, but we asked that everyone please refrain from any PDA in front of the kids. We were planning to just refer to the girlfriend as a friend of the family. My sister was not happy with this suggestion and is now, once again, saying that she will not go on the trip under these circumstances.

At this point, everyone else is exhausted with the subject and all for letting her exclude herself from the trip. I’m conflicted though. She’s my sister and I obviously love her. But I also think my other family members are trying their best in a touchy situation.

Are we wrong?

Sick and tired of hearing entitled gamers whining how they spent excess of 40 to 100s of hours in a game and beating the drum for a refund. Ridiculous.

Yeah maybe the game didn't really live up to the BioWare reputation but damn it man you thoroughly used the product you have a right to give it a low review and complain about it being unfinished maybe but in what world is it okay to even consider asking for a refund?

And while we're at it why the hell did you spend XX hours of your precious life if the game was so damn terrible anyway?

Sorry this post will probably get banned but I'm so sick and tired of the people acting like this game ruined their lives or something

This happened last night, not today, but still less than 24 hours ago.

So my husband LOVES birds, all kinds of birds. He thinks they are great. He is especially fond of ducks. Last night while he was in the kitchen prepping a snack, I thought it would be fun to change the desktop photo on his laptop (he had left it open on the couch). I found a cute duck picture, made it his desktop background, set the laptop back on the couch, and made my way innocently back to the kitchen table where I had also been having a snack.

My husband finishes his snack a little while later and heads back to the couch while I remain at the table. He pulls his computer towards him and goes, "OMG honey look! Ducks!" As he stands up holding his laptop and tries to come to me, he trips and falls over the glass end table we have, shattering it. If that wasn't bad enough, he fell onto his macbook, smashing it completely open and crushing it. If that also wasn't bad enough, he also broke his wrist because of how he fell on it since he was holding the laptop.

I feel like a terrible person, but my husband still loves ducks.

TL;DR: My husband got so overexcited over a picture of ducks I procured that he broke himself, a table, and his macbook.
